Our privacy commitments

Your data belongs to your organization and your donors — not to us

What happens to my donor data?

GivingSignal reads the donor history you upload and returns intelligence. We do not retain your donor data after your subscription ends, and we do not use it for any purpose other than generating propensity scores for your organization.

Is my data pooled with other charities?

No. GivingSignal’s models run independently per organization. Your donor data is never pooled with another charity’s data, never used to benchmark against other organizations’ identifiable records.

Where is my data stored?

All GivingSignal data processing occurs within Canadian infrastructure. We do not transfer your donor data to servers outside Canada.

How do you handle PIPEDA?

GivingSignal processes donor data under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), applying all 10 fair information principles.

What about CASL compliance?

GivingSignal surfaces CASL consent flags in campaign outputs to help your team distinguish between donors with express consent, implied consent, and no valid consent on file. This is informational — not a legal certification.

You can request full deletion of your organization’s data at any time. All donor records and processed outputs will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.
